The body of Leslie West, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel West, arrived from Lakin, Kansas at 8:23 Sunday morning over the Vandalia. It was taken to Barnhill’s chapel where many friends called and at 2 o’clock brief funeral services were held at Oak Hill where burial was made in the West family lot, Rev. GL Stine of the UB Church offered prayer at the grave. The services were private. - transcribed by kbz
